Zaharieva Maya, Η εκκλησία του Ευαγγελισμού της Θεοτόκου στο χωριό Kereka
Μέχρι πρόσφατα, η εκκλησία του Ευαγγελισμού στο χωριό Kereka ήταν ένα από τα λιγότερο μελετημένα μνημεία της Βουλγαρίας του πρώτου μισού του 19ου αιώνα. Είχε ανεγερθεί στη μέση του χωριού, το οποίο βρίσκεται 8 χλμ. από την πόλη Ντριάνοβο. Στην εργασία γίνεται μια σύντομη ιστορική αναδρομή και ανάλυση των αρχιτεκτονικών ιδιαιτεροτήτων, καθορίζεται επίσης το εικονογραφικό πρόγραμμα και επιχειρείται ο εντοπισμός της ομάδας ζωγράφων που ανέλαβε να κατασκευάσει τις τοιχογραφίες και τις εικόνες. Η εκκλησία δεν έχει ζωγραφιστεί εξ ολοκλήρου. Μόνο ο νότιος και ο βόρειος τοίχος του ναού έχουν καλυφθεί με ζωγραφική. Δεν υπάρχουν πλέον εικόνες και η ξύλινη βάση του τέμπλου έχει σπάσει σε κομμάτια. Είναι δύσκολο να ανακατασκευάσουμε το τέμπλο στην εκκλησία στο σύνολό του ελλείψει πληροφοριών και αρχειακών φωτογραφιών. Στις αρχές της δεκαετίας του 1970 έχει συντηρηθεί εξ ολοκλήρου, κάτι που μαρτυρεί επιστημονικά τεκμηριωμένη πρόταση που συντάχθηκε από το Εθνικό Ινστιτούτο Ακίνητης Πολιτιστικής Κληρονομιάς. Οι τοιχογραφίες στην εκκλησία του Ευαγγελισμού της Θεοτόκου στο χωριό Kereka είναι ανυπόγραφες, αλλά οι εικονογραφικές και υφολογικές ιδιαιτερότητές τους τις συνδέουν με τους ζωγράφους της Σχολής της Τριάβνας. Ορισμένες εικαστικές ιδιαιτερότητες παραπέμπουν στον Krаstyo Zahariev και τους γιους του Georgi και Petаr Krаstevs, ζωγράφους από την Tryavna, οι οποίοι ολοκλήρωσαν το έργο το 1835-1837.
Zaharieva Maya, The Church of Annunciation in the Village of Kereka
Until recently, the Church of the Annunciation in the village of Kereka was one of the understudied monuments in Bulgaria of the first half of the nineteenth century. It was erected in the middle of the village, located 8 km from the town of Dryanovo. The paper gives a brief history and an analysis of the architectural specifics, establishing also the iconographic programme and trying to identify the team of painters commissioned to make the murals and the icons. The church has not been entirely painted. Оnly the south and north walls of the naos have been covered with paintings. Тhere are no icons now and the wooden base of the iconostasis has been broken into pieces. It is hard to reconstruct the iconostasis at the church in its entirety for want of information and archival photographs. In the early 1970s it has been entirely preserved, to which a scientifically grounded proposal drafted by the National Institute for Immovable Cultural Heritage testifies. The murals at the Church of the Annunciation in the village of Kereka are unsigned, but their iconographic and stylistic peculiarities associate them with the painters of the School of Tryavna. A number of pictorial specifics point to Krаstyo Zahariev and his sons Georgi and Petаr Krаstevs, painters from Tryavna, who completed the work in 1835–1837.
